Sara has been practicing yoga since 1999. Her first experience of practice included both Iyengar and Ashtanga styles of yoga. She received her 200hr yoga teacher certification with Cyndi Lee at Om Yoga Studio in New York in 2004. Sara has recieved her 500 hour advanced yoga instructor certification from Lotus Pond Yoga Studio in Tampa, Florida. Sara approaches her teaching from a place of depth with the intention of moving her students on an inner exploration of deeper awareness and wholistic health of mind, body and spirit. She emphasizes the importance of breath, bandhas (energy locks), postural alignment (core strength) and mental focus/concentration as tools for creating a strong and powerful healing practice. As both a teacher and student of yoga, she believes that to be a great teacher, you must teach from your own experience of practice and that is what you have to share with your students. Then you must learn to live that experience both on and off the mat.
